Hotel Willinger Mitte is a B&B hotel at Briloner Straße 6 in 34508 Willingen (Upland). The valley station of the Ettelsberg cable car is approx. 10 minutes' walk away. The house has a ski room, free parking, breakfast until 11.30 am and the Kupferkanne pub, which has been part of the house since 1914.
How big is the ski area in Willingen?
The Willingen ski area is on the Ettelsberg, at roughly 560 to 840 metres above sea level. According to the operator there are 17 kilometres of groomed slopes. The longest run is around two kilometres and is considered the longest in the Sauerland.
A good 13 kilometres of slopes can be covered with artificial snow. That helps in winters when the snow comes late. In the evening several slopes are floodlit. For beginners and children there are ski schools, children's ski schools and snowboard courses.

Which lifts and cable cars are there on the Ettelsberg?
The main lift is the Ettelsberg cable car with eight-seater cabins. It's around 1,400 metres long and takes up to 2,800 people an hour to the top. Then there's the K1 eight-seater chairlift at Köhlerhagen and the six-seater chairlift at Ritzhagen.
For shorter slopes there are six drag lifts and six magic carpets. The magic carpets are mainly for children and for your first day on skis. If you just want to go sledging or winter walking, you'll find your way on the mountain too.
Which hotel in Willingen is close to the ski area?
Our house is at Briloner Straße 6, right in the village centre. It's approx. 10 minutes' walk to the valley station of the Ettelsberg cable car. To the Mühlenkopfschanze it's approx. 15 minutes, to the village centre one minute. Read more about the location under Hotel in the centre.

Does the hotel have a ski room?
Yes. There's a ski room on the ground floor. Skis, poles and wet boots stay there and don't have to come up to your room. On departure day you can use the luggage room, even after checking out.
Rooms are ready from 10.00 am, and on departure day you can stay until 12.00 noon. That leaves time for a few runs on your first and last day. There's Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Where can you have a beer after skiing in Willingen?
Willingen is known for its après-ski evenings. There are plenty of bars on the mountain and in the village. If you like it close, stay in the house: the Kupferkanne is on the ground floor and has been part of the house since 1914.

How much does a ski weekend in Willingen cost?
We have two kinds of accommodation. The comfort room is for two to four people, the apartment for three to six. A weekend from Friday to Sunday costs from €129 per person, except in Season A, including breakfast buffet.

Yes. Apartments sleep three to six, comfort rooms two to four. Larger groups combine several units. Every guest gets their own key.
