Where exactly is the hotel in Willingen?

Our house is at Briloner Straße 6, in the heart of Willingen. Many hotels in the village are on the slopes around the Ettelsberg, nicely situated, but often with a climb on the way back. With us, the village begins right outside the door.

If you stay in the centre, you plan differently. You choose where to have dinner in the village without first sorting out who drives. The bakery, the shops and the restaurants are within walking distance. The exact location and directions are on the Contact and directions page.

How far is it from the centre to the cable car and the ski jump?

From the front door it's approx. 10 minutes' walk to the valley station of the Ettelsberg cable car. In winter the ski area starts there, in summer the cable car takes hikers and bikers up the mountain. To the Mühlenkopfschanze it's approx. 15 minutes. These are rough guides, based on a normal walking pace.

Willingen station is also approx. 10 minutes away. If you arrive by train, you won't need a car in the village. You can find out what's currently on in the village in the local guide under Veranstaltungen in Willingen.

Can I park in the centre of Willingen?

Yes. There is free parking at the house. Most guests park their car on arrival and don't need it again until they leave. Especially on weekends with big events, when everyone in the village is looking for a parking space, that's worth a lot.

If you're coming with several cars, please tell us when you enquire. Then we'll plan the parking spaces accordingly.

What is there in the house itself?

We are a hotel garni: there is breakfast, from 8.00 to 11.30 am, with salmon, sparkling wine and freshly made scrambled eggs. On the ground floor is the Kupferkanne, which has been part of the house since 1914. Plus a ski room, a luggage room and Wi-Fi throughout the house.

The rooms are ready from 10.00 am on the day of arrival, and on the day of departure you can use them until 12.00 noon. In the centre that means two extra half days in the village, without suitcases in the car.

What is there to do in the evening in the centre of Willingen?

Willingen is lively in the evenings, especially at weekends and in the winter season. In the village centre, restaurants, bars and pubs are close together. If you stay in the centre, you decide on the spur of the moment where to go and don't have to worry about getting back.

With us, the last stop is often the house itself: the Kupferkanne on the ground floor is open in the evenings and at weekends, with a Sky sports bar and sun terrace. From the bar to your room it's just a few steps. Read more under Hotel with pub.

Which rooms are there in the hotel in the centre?

Two types: the Comfort room for two to four people and the Apartment for three to six. A weekend from Friday to Sunday costs from €129 in the Apartment and from €139 per person in the Comfort room, except in Season A, with breakfast.
